Friday May 18th
Today was a day when everybody stayed at school to work on the final projects.
Each group worked really hard all morning to finalise the projects in preparation for Tuesday’s presentations.
The Let’s take our project to the streets group went into all the Year 7 classes in our school to show them what the project was focussing on.
The student journalists followed the groups to keep a record of what was going on in each workshop.
The Spanish and Swedish pupils had time at the end of the morning to do a videoconference with their classmates back at home.
There were the sports tournaments at lunchtime.
And after lunch, some groups continued their project work and some groups that had finished their work, were able to go participate in a street rally around the village of Nonancourt
or a science workshop on the Avre river to analyse the quality of our water in the region.
Everyone was very excited because the traditional mobility party had been organised for the evening and the students from Nonancourt had worked especially hard to share a part of their school UNSS dance project with our guests. With the help of Mrs Rick, the school dance teacher and member of the PE team, about 30 students had volunteered to organise a gala for the evening celebration.
Everyone was really impressed by their presentation. They had worked really hard to make it very special.
After the delicious moroccan dinner and the dance gala, which included a team quiz about »hot » European questions such as « Who is getting married tomorrow? » (Answer: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle), all of the students got up to show off their own dancing talents on the dance floor!
